Utopias and other enviable futures.
After two years of darkening of the future of humanity, between a world pandemic which does not go away, the revival of a war coming from another time and the acted threat of the climatic change, the second edition of the festival Hypermondes decided to turn resolutely towards other futures.
Utopian futures, because human beings need hope in order to shape their destiny, but also realistic ones, because we have already experienced the failure of utopias that have become totalitarian and dystopian. Science fiction has already largely explored the latter’s lands: it is now time to relaunch the engine of enviable futures thanks to the inventiveness of authors of the imagination.
This second edition of Hypermondes responds to the need to think about greener urbanism and environmentally friendly energies, and to integrate the analyses of scientists into practical realizations.
Starting from a positive reality, from the successes of our contemporary world, adapting technology to create new worlds, developed and enriched by the imagination.
