Six seminars are planned during the 2022-2023 academic year. Each seminar will address, through one or more humanities disciplines, an aspect of our ability to envision the future, to imagine it, to write it, to use it. So we go through studies in psychology, history, philosophy, literature, visual arts.
The first seminar is devoted to psychology and foresight. Based on recent research on how our brains function as generators of assumptions about the future, we will look at what makes these assumptions social welding points, and how our emotions play a role in our personal lives as well as our worldview.
We will end with a meeting with the Making Tomorrow team who use future thinking to enable people to invent the world of tomorrow and to be creative in the way they envision future objects, uses and inventions.
You will find the complete program of episode 1 on the dedicated page of the calendar
These seminars are open to all, see you soon.
