In the midst of a heat wave, as you begin to wonder if you will survive, if humanity itself will survive, and if our future will not soon resemble Dune, the planet of the sands in Herber’s novel, you can start with this beautiful conference by Roland Lehoucq, astrophysicist and noble popularizer, who invites us to imagine the reality behind Arrakis.

And on a completely different subject, the entirety of the Science-fiction, religions, theologies symposium has been put online. You will be able to hear analyses of literary works, theological points of view and analyses of Battlestar Galactica (a story where humanity is replaced by a synthetic humanity) or Star Trek (a story where humanity discovers new horizons) from the point of view of beliefs, among others.
Finally, a small conference from the near past, simple but in English, on future memory and mental time travel according to psychology and neuroscience. You will find some scientific articles on the video page.
Have a great summer!
